Grade 1.8906 steel machinability

Q345R steel is common low alloy steel, which is commonly used for boiler and pressure vessel. The delivery status includes hot rolling or normalizing. Q345R steel yield strength is 265-345MPa, tensile strength is 510-640MPa, elongation is greater than 21%, and zero degree V-shaped impact energy is greater than 34J. Q345R steel standard is GB713. Q345R steel has good comprehensive mechanical and technological properties. The content of 1.8906 steel phosphorus and sulfur of Q345R steel is slightly lower than that of low alloy high strength steel plate.

Vanadium mainly exists in the form of carbide in 1.8906 steel and so on steel. Its main function is to refine the structure and grain size of steel and reduce the strength and toughness of steel. When the solid solution is dissolved at high temperature, the hardenability is increased; conversely, if it is in the form of carbide, the hardenability is reduced. Vanadium increases the tempering stability of quenched steel and produces secondary hardening effect. The vanadium content in steel, except high speed tool steel, is generally less than 0.5%.

Quenching is a heat treatment process in which steel parts are heated to above the critical temperature, and after proper heat preservation, the parts are quickly cooled to room temperature in water or oil, so that martensite transformation occurs. The hardness of the quenched 1.8906 steel increases sharply. Quenching is to prepare the organization for adjusting and improving the performance of 1.8906 steel during tempering, while tempering determines the performance and life of the workpiece.

Both parties shall confirm the 1.8906 steel material object and the quality of the products, confirm the reasons for the defects and the quality of the products, and sign the quality inspection agreement. Major quality objections shall be reported to relevant leaders in a timely manner, and shall be discussed and solved with the 1.8906 steel steel plant.
