3. Brief introduction of S620Q steel plate:
S620Q is a European standard quenched and tempered high yield strength structural steel with a carbon content below 0.2%. S stands for structural steel, Q stands for delivery condition, 620 is the yield value, in MPa, Q means that the impact temperature of the steel plate is -20°C, then QL means that the impact temperature of the steel plate is -50°C, and QL1 means that the impact temperature of the steel plate is -50°C. The shock temperature is -60°C. The series of grades are S620Q, S620QL, S620QL1, which implement the European standard EN10025-6 standard and are European standard low-carbon non-alloy structural steel plates. This specification regulates the production of hot-rolled sheets with a minimum nominal thickness of 3 mm and a maximum nominal thickness of ≤ 150 mm. The specified minimum yield strength of the steel after quenching and tempering is 460 MPa1) to 960 MPa1).
4. The steel grade and variety
be The standard specifies seven steel grades, which have different yield strengths at ambient temperature. All supplied steel grades of the following grades are to be specified upon request.
