Welcome to BBN High Strength Steels Factory

The S690Q steel plate steel specification from BBN

The S690Q steel plate processing performance is good. Due to the uniform control of steel plate performance, excellent performance coordination and good toughness guarantee, the steel plate bending processing, drilling, cutting and other mechanical processing properties are excellent. In addition, the surface of the S690Q steel plate steel plate is smooth and beautiful by inhibiting and removing oxide scale from slab heating to rolling process and heat treatment in furnace without oxidation atmosphere.

S690Q steel plate, Q345B low alloy plate performance: 1) High strength: Generally its yield strength is above 300MPa; 2) High toughness: The elongation is required to be 15% to 20%, and the room temperature impact toughness is greater than 600kJ/m to 800kJ/m. For large welded components, higher fracture toughness is also required; 3) Good welding performance and cold forming performance; 4) Low cold brittle transition temperature; 5) Good corrosion resistance.

The company has allocated special environmental protection facilities for all S690Q steel plate pollution sources, strengthened the recycling of waste resources and improved the efficiency of resource utilization. At present, the recovery and utilization rate of solid wastes such as iron slag, steel slag, iron bearing dust, S690Q steel plate steel mill scale, environmental protection dust has reached 100%.

The effect of nitrogen (N) on the properties of S690Q steel plate and so on steel is similar to that of carbon and phosphorus. With the increase of nitrogen content, the strength of steel can be significantly improved, especially the plasticity, especially toughness, and the weldability will be decreased, and the cold brittleness will be intensified. At the same time, aging tendency, cold brittleness and hot brittleness will be increased, which will damage the weldability and cold bending property of steel. Therefore, the nitrogen content in S690Q steel plate and so on steel should be reduced and limited as much as possible. Generally, nitrogen content should not be higher than 0.018%.
