Q345B material is a low-carbon alloy steel (c <0.20%), with good overall performance, low temperature performance, cold stamping performance, welding performance and machinability. Q345R steel is a special plate for pressure vessels with a yield strength of 345MPa. It has good comprehensive mechanical properties and technological performance. In addition to the tensile strength and elongation requirements higher than Q345 (16Mn) steel, Q345R is also required to ensure impact toughness.

When using S690Q steel, low-alloy high-strength steel, it is desirable to take advantage of its high strength and use a thinner section, not only for saving weight but also for the economy as much as possible. However, the corrosion factor must be fully considered. The thinner the steel section, the more attention should be paid to corrosion protection. Some low-alloy high-strength steels have good atmospheric corrosion resistance, which can not only improve the effect of anti-corrosion coatings, but in some cases, take appropriate precautions and can even be used without being coated in the atmosphere.

X-rays or γ-rays are projected on the surface of the steel plate, and rubber can be placed on the other side of the steel plate. Since the radiation propagates through the steel plate and is absorbed, the intensity is different due to the presence or absence of defects, so the film can record the shape and position of the defects. This S690Q steel method is sensitive to the detection of common steel plate defects such as slag inclusions, porosity and pores. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to find the specific depth of the defect and it is not easy to find cracks.
