ASME ASTM a514 equivalent S690QL delivery status: thickness ≤40, hot rolled or normalized; thickness ＞40, normalized
According to the different tensile strength of the material, ASME SA204 steel is divided into three strength grades: A, B, and C, namely SA204GrA, SA204GrB, and SA204GrC. The maximum thickness of steel plates corresponding to these three grades is limited to:
SA-204A large plate thickness does not exceed 150mm
SA-204B large plate thickness does not exceed 150mm
SA-204C large plate thickness does not exceed 100mm

ASTM a514 equivalent S690QL, 45# steel is widely used in mechanical manufacturing, and its mechanical properties are very good. But 45# steel is a kind of medium carbon steel, the quenching property is not good, 45# steel can be hardened to HRC42 ~ 46. Therefore, if the surface hardness is required, and the superior mechanical properties of 45# steel are expected to be exerted, the surface of 45# steel is often carburized and quenched, so that the required surface hardness can be obtained.
