ArcelorMittal said it was taking measures to cut its North American EN 10025-6 equivalent ASTM steel production in response to the weakening demand for downstream steel after the outbreak of covid-19, foreign media reported. It is reported that ArcelorMittal's plant in the port of Indiana is ready to shut down the No. 4 blast furnace.

EN 10025-6 equivalent ASTM, Large diameter spiral steel pipe refers to the relatively large diameter spiral steel pipe, which is generally required to be more than 1000mm. The manufacturing process of large-diameter spiral steel pipe: first, the steel strip is bent into shape, and then welded together to make a large-diameter spiral steel pipe of specified size. After being processed into a pipe, hydrostatic test, bending, flattening and other tests shall be carried out, and the internal steel support of large-diameter spiral steel pipe can be made according to customer requirements.

The weldability of EN 10025-6 equivalent ASTM is good. It means that under certain process and construction conditions, EN 10025-6 equivalent ASTM can obtain good performance after welding. Weldability is a measure of the hot workability of steel. Weldability can be divided into weldability in construction and weldability in use. Weldability in construction refers to the sensitivity of cracking in weld metal and near seam zone, and hardening sensitivity of steel in near seam zone. Good weldability means that under certain welding process conditions, the weld metal and steel near the seam do not produce cracks. Weldability in use means that the mechanical properties of weld and HAZ steel are not lower than those of base metal.
