Manganese steel plates emerge as a profitable solution to diverse kinds of acid attacks. These have qualities surpassing an ordinary steel plate. Neither fully austenitic nor ferritic, these plates EN 10025-6 grade S690QL plates provide boosted resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, which the 300 series stainless steel plates are susceptible to. 22% Chromium allows these plates to withstand Sulphuric and Hydrochloric acid attacks, whereas Molybdenum (up to 3%) avoids crevice and pitting corrosion.
