Welcome to BBN High Strength Steels Factory
SA516 Grade 70 S690 steel equivalent grades refers to normalized steel products. For steel plates and thin plates with a thickness of less than 40mm, we usually supply rolled steel coils. Plates with a thickness greater than 40mm should be normalized and supplied. The density of S690 steel equivalent grades SA516 70 grade steel plate is 0.284 cu/in3 (7861 kg/m3).
S690 steel equivalent grades, Weathering steel plate is a kind of common steel plate. For ordinary steel plate, if it is used for a long time, it will contaminate the steel surface with a layer of rust, which will seriously affect the normal use of steel. Although the weathering steel plate will produce rust, this layer of corrosion is like a layer of dense oxide film, which is firmly attached to the steel surface to prevent the further corrosion of the base and steel. There are many weathering steel plate manufacturers will adopt some corrosion treatment methods.
Blast furnace ironmaking is a traditional ironmaking method based on coke energy. It cooperates with converter steelmaking and is the main method of producing S690 steel equivalent grades steel at present. This dominance of blast furnace ironmaking is not expected to change for quite a long time. The essence of blast furnace ironmaking is the reduction of iron. Besides, coke is used as fuel and reducing agent. At high temperatures, iron ore or iron-containing raw materials are reduced from an oxide or mineral state to liquid pig iron.
