S460QL1 steel grade standard and specificaiton

Steel S460QL1 steel grade exports fell sharply year on year. According to the data of the General Administration of customs, 7.811 million tons of steel were exported from January to February, a year-on-year decrease of 27.0%; 2.041 million tons of imported steel, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%. Steel prices continue to fall. According to the monitoring of China Iron and Steel Industry Association, China's steel S460QL1 steel grade composite price index at the end of January was 105.48 points, down 0.58% month on month; at the end of February, the index continued to decline to 100.39 points, down 4.83% month on month.

The carbon content of S460QL1 steel grade, hot rolled steel plate is slightly higher than that of cold rolled steel plate. Hot rolled steel plate has low hardness, easy processing and good ductility. Cold rolled steel plate has high hardness and is difficult to process, but it is not easy to deform and has high strength. The strength of hot-rolled steel plate is relatively low, the surface quality (oxidation finish) is low, but the plasticity is good, and it is generally medium thick plate.

S460QL1 steel grade, Q345B steel plate strength has much to do with its thickness. First, the min. yield strength of Q345B steel plate: 345 Mpa for thickness ≤16mm, 335 Mpa for thickness 16-40mm, 325 Mpa for thickness 40-63mm, 315 Mpa for thickness 63-80mm, 305 Mpa for thickness 80-100mm, 285 Mpa for thickness 100-150mm, 275 Mpa for thickness 150-200mm, 265 Mpa for thickness 200-250mm. Second, the tensile strength of Q345B steel plate: 470-630 Mpa for thickness ≤100mm, 450-600 Mpa for thickness 100-250mm.

In year 2015, we ship 750 tons H beam to Pakistan for our old customer for building use. Because of urgent demand, the H beams are partial shipment by bulk vessel. Due to strong support of our customer, we also export many C channel steel, S460QL1 steel grade I beam and other profile steel to local market.
