Welcome to BBN High Strength Steels Factory
45# steel is commonly used medium carbon quenched and tempered structural steel. The steel ASTM a514 equivalent S690QL is generally cold plastic, annealing and normalizing are slightly better than quenching and tempering, with higher strength and better machinability. After proper heat treatment, 45# carbon steel can certain toughness, plasticity and wear resistance can be obtained. 45# steel normalizing can improve the cutting performance of roughness less than 160HBS.
In order to obtain the seamless tube with smaller size and better quality, the method of cold rolling, cold drawing or the combination of the two must be used. Cold rolling is usually carried out on a two high mill, and ASTM a514 equivalent S690QL pipes are rolled in a circular pass composed of a variable cross-section circular groove and a fixed conical head. Cold drawing is usually carried out on single chain or double chain cold drawing machines of 0.5-100t.
Welded pipe, also known as welded steel pipe, refers to the steel pipe made of steel plate or strip steel after crimping and forming, with a fixed length of 6 meters. The production process of welded steel pipe is simple, the production efficiency is high, the varieties and specifications are diversified, and the equipment investment is less, but the general strength is lower than that of seamless steel pipe. ASTM a514 equivalent S690QL, Welded pipes have many uses and are almost ubiquitous in our lives. However, when choosing welded pipes, we must pay attention to performance and material characteristics.
