Technical key points of EN 10025-6 S690QL steel production

Strip steel is mainly used for the manufacture of welded pipes, clamps, washers, spring blades, saw blades, blades and other fields, so the EN 10025-6 S690QL steel, strip steel specifications are also relatively standardized. First, the strip width should be within 1300mm, if it is too wide, it will become a steel plate, and the machining is not allowed to be too wide, otherwise it will fail. Second, the strip steel length is not limited, and the strip steel can be coiled together after bending, reducing most of the space.

20# steel is carbon steel with carbon content of about 0.20%. It belongs to low carbon steel with high quality. The equivalent material of 20# steel is S20C. 20# steel has low strength and hardness, good plasticity and toughness, good carburizing effect and good weldability. 20# steel is often used to make pressure parts (such as gasket, chain piece), carburizing parts (gear, CAM), welding parts, plastic mold, etc.

In order to easily and economically perform hot or cold processing to make various parts of engineering structures, the low alloy high strength steel must have appropriate forming properties. Like EN 10025-6 S690QL steel, carbon structural steel, low alloy high strength steel can generally be processed in such way, as well as cutting, punching, and machining. Although the yield point of low alloy high strength steel is high, even if the forming operation is deformed quite severely, cold bending presses, drawing machines, presses and other equipment used for carbon structural steel forming can also be used for low alloy high strength steel, but some equipment needs to be modified.

EN 10025-6 S690QL steel, Q345 and Q345B are steel numbers. The differences are as follows:1. Q345 is general and does not indicate the quality level; Q345B is clear and the quality level is B.2. Q345 does not require to inspect the impact performance; Q345B requires that the impact performance at room temperature is qualified (impact at 20 ℃).3. Q345 does not indicate carbon content of steel; Q345B carbon content is 0.20%.Q345 refers to carbon structural steel with yield point (σ s) of 345MPa. The following letters indicate the quality level, including A, B, C, D and E.
