EN 10025 S550Q high yield structural steels
S550Q Material belongs to the European standard EN10025-6. There are three steel grades S550Q, S550QL and S550QL1 at a yield strength of 550 Mpa.
S550Q is a structural steel with high yield strength under quenched and tempered condition. It is a special alloy steel. It specifies the impact energy when the temperature is not lower than -20 degrees, no sign; it specifies the impact energy when the temperature is not lower than -40 degrees. As: L; stipulate the impact energy when the temperature is not lower than -70 degrees, denoted as: L1.The material number of S550Q is 1.8904. All these grades of materials must be quenched and tempered.
S550QL steel plate is a quenched and tempered high-strength steel plate. The minimum nominal thickness of the steel plate is 3mm, and the maximum nominal thickness is a hot-rolled plate of ≤150mm. S550QL steel plates are delivered in the quenched + tempered state, and the specified minimum yield strength is between 490MPa and 550MPa. S550QL steel plate is often used to manufacture structural parts such as shafts and connecting rods that bear large loads
